Each session last approx. 1-3 hours. I understand that children are very unpredictable and may need more time. There is no extra charge for sessions lasting longer then 3 hours. My priority is capturing the best possible moments and not to keep my eye on my watch. I allow plenty of time for clothing and diaper changes, snacks and breaks. I am available before and after each session to answer any questions or concerns you may have. If there is a certain shot your looking for please tell me I would be happy to do my best to capture it for you.

When choosing your location choose a place where your child(ren) are familiar with. Children are more likely to run, play, and have fun in environments that they are comfortable in. This could be in the comfort of you own home, backyard or your favorite park. I encourage every parent to bring their child's favorite toy and snacks to a session away from home. When choosing an outdoor location I will work with you if the weather does not cooperate. Early mornings and evenings are the most idea times for photographing outdoors. Overcast days also work great as the light is more flattering.

Clothing should be kept as simple and comfortable as possible. Busy logos and patterns are distracting and should be avoided. When choosing clothing for family or multiple children session try choosing tones that work well together. If you need any suggestions I would be more then willing to help. I do allow clothing changes so feel free to bring several changes! When photographing infants I prefer diaper or no diaper only. Infants are so tiny and easily get lost in the picture when wearing clothes.

When planning a newborn session it is best to book a day while you are still pregnant and schedule the session before your newborn is 10 weeks old. As they get older they are more easily awakened and sleep less making it more difficult to get those cute sleeping baby pictures. I encourage both parents (if possible) to attend.
