Kids Kountry and I have paired up to do an awesome Modeling Contest for boys and girls! There will be 3 winners.

1st place will receive a $125 Shopping Spree at Kids Kountry and a Custom Portrait Session with Stephanie McFrederick Photography!

2nd place will receive a $75 Shopping Spree at Kids Kountry and a Custom Portrait Session with Stephanei McFrederick Photography!

3rd place will receive a $50 Shopping Spree at Kids Kountry and a Mini Portrait Session with Stephanie McFrederick Photography!

The first 20 participants will receive a gift card to Stephanie McFrederick Photography just for entering. Gift cards range from $10-$50 and are chosen at random.

Every child entered will receive a FREE 5×7 Portrait of their entered photo!

To compete in the Kids Kountry competition all you need to do is:

1. Stop by the store (located at 33 W. Main St Ashland, OH) and have your children model in Kids Kountry clothing starting on September 1st, 2010.
2. You must purchase the outfit your child models in.
3. Sign a release form stating it is okay for us to use your children’s photos.
4. Sign up for Kids Kountry’s newsletter and confirm in your email account that you accept Kids Kountry emails.**
5. Once the time period for photographs is over, pictures will be posted on our web site.
6. An email will be sent to you to vote on your top pictures per category.
7. One vote per person.
8. Winners will be announced via web site and email!
9. Winners photos will remain on Kids Kountry’s website, other photographers will be removed.

**Opting into Kids Kountry emails is so that we can limit voting to one vote per person. No information collected will be resold to other companies nor will you receive a bunch of emails from vertical response email collection agency.

You may purchase your child’s outfit at any time during their business hours. Photographs for the contest will be taken on the following dates:

September 8th 10-2pm

September 11th 2-4pm

September 15th 10-2pm

September 18t 2-4pm

September 22nd 10-2pm

And no blog post is complete without a photo.. here’s little Zoe one of the sweet little 6 month olds I got to work with recently! She is such a sweetheart.

Every year I donate one or two gift cards to Taft Elementary to help the PTO. This years I donated 2. One of the winners was this beautiful family. I had such a fun time photographing these three beautiful kids! They were so great to work with! The littest one, Amelia, was ready to go home with me at the end! I really could have too, she was such a sweetheart! Thank you again for choosing me to photograph your children Lee and Theresa!

Gracie and Billy were part of my LE Spring Mini Sessions. I just loved photographing them. They are such adorable kids and so wonderful to work with. Thanks again Julie!

It was such a pleasure to meet Isaiah and his brother Luke last week. They are such great little guys. Thank you Danny and Anne for having me photograph your boys. It was so nice to meet your family.

The mini sessions turned out so well despite the rain throughout the day! I was able to get most of the sessions in, however some needed to be rescheduled (again!). Even with the weather issues, I really enjoyed all the mini sessions I did and would love to offer them more often!

These two little boys were such a blast to work with! It’s not very often I get to photograph little kids jumping in mud puddles. Kyle had so much fun doing it, but Joe really didn’t want much part of it. He was more interested in getting a photo with some bright colored tires. I’m am so glad I got to meet them and their mom, they are all such sweet people. Thank you so much again Marty! I hope you enjoyed your session as well as your gallery.

I am so fortunate to have such a wonderful place to photograph at. The parents of the 3 little girls own the land and have been gracious enough to allow me to use it whenever I’d like! I’ve been using it a lot lately because I’ll be using it for my day of mini sessions on May 8th. It’s so incredibly gorgeous out there! The trees are still blooming so I’ve really stayed in one spot, but I can’t wait to use other areas of the land.

These little girls were such great models for me! I just loved working with them. They were so sweet and kept asking why I had to leave and if I could stay. I just loved it!

I’m always looking for new faces to add to my portfolio. So I thought it would be fun to hold a contest to see who my new Fresh Face 2010 is going to be!

Think your child is the absolute cutest child ever? (of course! who doesn’t??) Keep reading for some more details!

The Details-

This purpose of this contest is for Stephanie McFrederick Photography to acquire “fresh faces” for her marketing and promotional materials. Submit a NON professional photo of your child to stephanie@mcfrederickphotography.com. Please be sure to put “2010 Fresh Faces” in the subject line. No prints will be accepted.

Entries will be accepted until February 12nd, 2010. Voting will begin on February 16th, 2010

Only children who are between the ages of 6 months and 14 years old are eligible.

A model release must be signed allowing me to use your child’s photos for my marketing and promotion material.

All entries must include the following:

Child’s name, birthday, valid email address, and phone number of a parent or guardian (if you are submitting a grandchild or relative please have permission from the parents before submitting). No names will be announced except the top 2 winners. No last names will be released.

Submitted photo must be taken within the last 3 weeks. No professional photos will be accepted.

Once the entries close, I will open the polls. Only one vote per person per day. Voting will be open for 7 days. Top 5 entrants will then be judged by a panel of professional children photographers (not including myself) to determined the Grand Prize winner and the Runner up.

The Winners-

There will be 2 winning places.

Grand Prize Winner: Receives a complimentary session by Stephanie McFrederick Photography and your choice between a beautiful 16×20 Gallery Wrapped Canvas OR a beautiful leather Handbag featuring one session image. ($335 value)

Second Place Winner: Receives a complimentary session and a 11×14 of your favorite session image. ($145 value)

By entering you agree to allow Stephanie McFrederick Photography to have complete creative control over the session. What does that mean? This means that if your child is one of the winners, Stephanie will work closely with you in choosing outfits, accessories, backgrounds, etc. for your session.

Winner must contact Stephanie McFrederick Photography within 3 days of being named winner to claim their prize.

This was such a great family to work with! I’ll admit though, I was a little nervous when the mom first said… “K, doesn’t like her photos taken by anyone other than myself and cries when people try”. So when I went over to their house a few days before their session to discuss clothing, I met and played with little K for about a half hour. I learned she loves Dora the Explorer, Sesame Street, and the photo of my daughter on my keychain. I am so glad I got to meet her before, it made it so much easier when I came back for the real session! Since I knew she liked Dora, I brought a little Dora doll as my assistant. K really liked the idea of Dora taking her photos! K was so great that I had to let her keep it.

Of course I can’t forget about her awesome big brothers! They were so fun to work with and really helped me out getting K to smile. Both of them did whatever I asked and were just awesome kids. Their parents are very lucky.

Wow, what a session! It was so fun and everyone (all 8 of them!) was so wonderful to work with. It was completely different then any other session I’ve done. We did photos with their cows, goats, kittens and their dog. It was fun, but I wish the sun would have been a little nicer to me. It was very bright and less than ideal but overall I know we got some great family photos!

I normally post several single images from a session, but I thought a sample of a storyboard better suited this family!

Yesterday I photographed a wonderful family. They really made me job easy! So beautiful and the kids were great! The littlest one kept me on my toes but that’s to be expected from a 3 year old. I had such a great time and really enjoyed working with them. If only all sessions could be this easy!
